TONY TALK #5 - Who Will Win, And Who Should (Tony Predictions)

It's almost impossible for someone who hasn't been to New York to see any of the shows make an accurate assessment on who will win... which is exactly why I thought it would be a great idea to do it. In fact, I pride myself on my knowledge of Broadway despite having not been there to see any of this season's shows so using my ability to devour a sh*t tonne of information via the internet on both critical and public opinions on Broadway this season, I've pulled together some ideas...

It's a hard one to call when I'm basing my judgement entirely on other peoples' opinions, but I do believe that Hamilton won't win any more than 10 Tony Awards, but probably either 8 or 9. If you want to follow the Tony Awards along with me, you can follow me on Twitter all evening before I live tweet later tonight on my Shaun's Musical Musings Twitter account. Also, don't forget to follow on Twitter to join in with the Tony Awards discussion on Periscope tonight at 8:30pm GMT.

Today is Tonys Day! You can read my essay on diversity on Broadway, my first "Tony Talk" post on cast albums from this season, my second one on snubs at the Tonys 2016, my third one on the top 10 best Tonys performances of all time and my fourth on the history of the Tony Awards right now.
